Bilinski's Sausage formed nearly 30 years ago to create something new to grocery aisles: a healthy chicken-based sausage, the first of its kind. As its popularity grew, Bilinski's interest in providing both responsibly sourced ingredients and gourmet flavors became paramount. But their current packaging wasn't cutting it.
Workshop's approach was to use simplified but elegant illustration to re-emphasize the "farm-to-plate" direction Bilinski's was taking. A more sophisticated flavor profile was communicated through a clean visual style, which stayed easily recognizable in grocery stores when shifted to other segments.
The previous version did not support gourmet flavor cues and felt a little cluttered. Everything was shouting at once, and the different visual styles did not sync up.
The monochromatic color palette lead to a recessive presence in the grocery aisle.
